All our instructors are members of the Malaysian Kendo Association and are all certified Dan holders.

Peter Jeong

Instructor (6th Dan)

Peter Sensei has recently been appointed as Malaysia Mens National Coach for the 2025 ASEAN Kendo Tournament ( AKT).

His passion and dedication for kendo fuelled many success along the way including his previous appointment as the Malaysian National Team Coach at the 2018 World Kendo Championships in Incheon, Korea. He has done kendo since he was a child growing up in Korea.

And whilst studying in Australia, he was appointed Sydney University Kendo Team Coach, this to name some of his

many list of kendo achievements.

Nurlin Amirudin

Instructor (5th Dan)

Nurlin Sensei has been training in kendo since 2004 and is dedicated to sharing this martial art with the community. With her extensive experience as a national player, she aims to nurture the next generation of kendo athletes, aspiring to develop future members of the national team.

Currently, she is a proud member of the Malaysian Women’s National Team.

Abul Hasan Johari Bin Ahmad Tajudin

Assistant Instructor (4th Dan)

Abul has been training in kendo since 2002, both in Malaysia and Japan. He is currently still actively training with the Men's National squad and has proudly represented Malaysia on numerous occasions listed below. His passion for kendo extends beyond practice; he is deeply interested in its history, traditions, and the collection of kendo-related literature. Currently, he is enhancing his kendo training by learning Hokushin Itto-ryu.

Swee Diong

Assistant Instructor (3rd Dan)

Swee has been training in kendo since 2013. She has actively participated in regional competitions and proudly represented Malaysia on three national tours, as detailed below.

Sean Yap

Assistant Instructor (4th Dan)

Sean began his kendo training in 2017 and has rapidly progressed through the ranks, representing Malaysia on two notable occasions: first at the 2019 ASEAN Kendo Tournament in Jakarta and, more recently, at the 2024 World Kendo Championships in Milan.

He is a valued member of our dedicated team of instructors.

Lennard Lee

Assistant Instructor (3rd Dan)

Lennard is currently training with the Men's National Team and has proudly represented Malaysia at the 2019 ASEAN Kendo Tournament in Jakarta, as well as at the recent 2024 World Kendo Championships in Milan. He has been practicing kendo since 2016.

At present, he is studying in Korea, where he continues to train actively in kendo. During his holidays back home, he generously assists the team with their training sessions.
